  •

Hi-Gien:Autonomous Robotic Vehicle for Disinfecting Workplaces

The main goal of the Hi-Gien project (Autonomous Robotic Vehicle for disinfecting workplaces) is to develop an autonomous disinfection robotic vehicle that will replace humans in unhealthy disinfection tasks in the workplaces (e.g. industries, hospitals, classrooms). The Hi-Gien project aims to the maximization of disinfection efficiency by assigning the disinfection tasks to smart robotic vehicles. The project proposes an autonomous vehicle for performing sanitization protocols in workplaces while considering the minimization of sanitizing liquid consumption and reduction of the infection risk. Since frequently visited areas are the most common places of virus spread, the solution integrates an image processing system and a Decision Support System (DSS) in order to automate the disinfection procedure and precisely sanitize areas.
